SusMo hosts a screening of "How To Let Go of The World and Love All the Things Climate Can’t Ch

At an event organized by Sustainable Morristown and 350NJ on January 23rd, over 25 participants gathered at the Morristown Library to view the 1st half of How to Let Go of the World and Love all of the Things Climate Can’t Change. The documentary is a moving look at the regions of the world most affected by climate change, asking “What is it that climate change can’t destroy? What is so deep within us that no calamity can take it from us?”

The hosts of the event, Sustainable Morristown, 350NJ, and Citizen’s Climate Lobby, introduced themselves prior to the screening and provided further information on each organization’s approach to environmental sustainability and fighting climate change. After viewing the first half of the documentary, Sustainable Morristown led a productive discussion in which attendants reacted to the content of the film, and discussed both small and large actions we can take together to combat climate change, such as encouraging Morristown to adopt a renewable energy based municipal power aggregation program.

Please join us on January 30th at 7pm at the Morristown library for part two of this event, in which we will watch the second half of this documentary and continue our discussion. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Below are some photos from the 1st half of the screening. We look forward to seeing you at the next half!
